| Question: How long can I keep my dependent children on my benefits? |

Answer: You may cover your children from age 20 through the end of the month they reach age 25 provided they live primarily with you but may be temporarily away from home attending school; you provide over one half of their total support, and they are not eligible for coverage through U-M as an employee or are not already covered through the University as a dependent or another University employee's coverage.
