Answer: As soon as you apply for a job, your submitted materials are available to the hiring manager. Depending on the number of applications received and the department's search process, it may be several weeks before you know the outcome. If you are not selected for an interview and the job is filled, you will receive an automated email message relating the filled status of the position.
