Answer:
The federal Mandatory Insurer Reporting Law (Section 111 of Public Law 110-173) requires group health plans to report to Medicare the Social Security Numbers of adults covered under an insurance plan. To ensure your enrollment and compliance with this new law, please provide this information. For more information on the mandatory reporting under this law, please see www.cms.hhs.gov/MandatoryInsRep/. If your spouse or other qualified adult does not have a Social Security number, please contact the HR/Payroll Service Center by calling 734-615-2000 or 866-647-7657 (toll free).
